Get First Aid Pty Ltd is committed to complying with relevant legislation regarding the release of personal and confidential information. This includes the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002. The company has a legal obligation to ensure that personal confidential information is provided only to the appropriate individual or organisation.

Under the act, for a release to take place we will require to gather certain information from you. 

• An individual may request a private sector person to provide the individual with access to health information relating to the individual held by the private sector person. A request must

1. be in writing

2. state the name and the address of the individual making the request

3. sufficiently identify the health information to which access is sought

• An individual who requests access to health information relating to the individual may authorise another person to have access to the information in the place of the individual. Such an authority must—

1.  be in writing, and

2. name the person who is authorised to have access to the information.

Any requests ROI of this nature will be held for 7 years by Get First Aid Pty Ltd or longer if Get First Aid deems it necessary.
